Michael Kim

Michael Kim practices in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure litigation, and debtors' rights. His practice focuses on the representation of consumer and corporate debtors against financial institutions, including banks, mortgage servicers, and credit unions throughout the United States.
In the bankruptcy arena, Mr. Kim represents debtors in cases arising under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy code. Additionally, Mr. Kim uses the bankruptcy courts and consumer protection statutes to recover damages for clients who have been subject to bad-faith lenders, illegal fees, discharge violations, automatic stay violations, and more. His representation includes litigation against lenders, creditors, mortgage servicers, and collection entities who profit from unethical practices and illegal fees.
Mr. Kim received his Bachelor of Arts from from the University of California, Irvine and Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego. During law school, Mr. Kim served as an advocate for the indigent and homeless youth in conjunction with the University of San Diego Children's Advocacy Institute. As recognition for his service to the disadvantaged, he received the State Bar of California's Wiley W. Manual Award for Pro Bono Legal Services. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Kim spent many years in the technology industry, including working for Qualcomm Inc.'s Strategic Intellectual Property Division.
Mr. Kim is admitted to practice before California state courts, the Central United States District Court, and the Southern United States District Court. Paul W. Caprara

Paul Caprara received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law in San Diego. While in law school, Mr. Caprara served as the Executive Editor of the California Western Law Review and published in the journal for his comment, “Surf’s Up: The Implications of Tort Liability in the Unregulated Sport of Sur1ing.” Before private practice, Mr. Caprara worked for Qualcomm’s Strategic Intellectual Property Division, assisting the team’s business development group with intellectual property acquisition.
Mr. Caprara now focuses his practice on consumer rights and representation. He uses the bankruptcy code and various consumer protection statutes to pursue legal damages and civil relief for his clients that have been victimized by bad-‐faith lenders, unfair and deceptive collection practices, and creditor harassment. Mr. Caprara is admitted to practice before all California Superior Courts and the Southern United States District Court.
